Enhancing Public Recreation with a Modern Facility
A well-designed community pool is more than just a swimming area—it serves as a hub for social interaction and outdoor fun. UG Group (formerly 2WR+ Partners) partnered with the City of Pueblo to create a modern bathhouse that replaces an outdated facility. This upgrade ensures the community pool continues to provide a functional, accessible, and welcoming space for visitors of all ages.
Located in a high-traffic recreational area, the bathhouse sits near the City Zoo, Golf Course, Baseball and Softball Fields, Dog Park, and City Park. Because of this, it plays an essential role in Pueblo’s public recreation network. By improving accessibility and convenience, it enhances the experience for both pool users and other park visitors.
Thoughtful Design for Comfort and Functionality
UG Group designed the bathhouse to improve efficiency, accessibility, and visitor flow. The facility includes:
- Restrooms and showers dedicated to pool users
- A concessions area serving both pool visitors and park guests
- A seamless connection to surrounding recreational spaces
With these features, the bathhouse improves the community pool experience. Additionally, its modern layout prevents congestion, enhances accessibility, and supports Pueblo’s goal of maintaining high-quality public spaces.
Blending Innovation with Civic Pride
UG Group selected durable, low-maintenance materials to ensure longevity and withstand seasonal use. Additionally, the bathhouse exterior blends with the surrounding recreation spaces, reinforcing its role as a key community asset.
A Lasting Investment in Community Recreation
This project highlights the importance of investing in public infrastructure that enhances residents’ quality of life. By delivering a modern and efficient facility, UG Group has helped the City of Pueblo create a lasting resource. As a result, the community benefits from a space that promotes outdoor activity and social engagement.
