Revitalizing a Legacy Liquor Store in Colorado Springs
UG Group (formerly 2WR+ Partners) partnered with Cheers Liquor Mart to transform this well-established liquor store in Colorado Springs. After serving the community for decades, the store needed a major renovation to improve visibility, customer flow, and energy efficiency. Working closely with the Owner, UG Group focused on maximizing functionality and aesthetics while maintaining the store’s strong local identity.
Enhancing Visibility with a Striking New Facade
One of the primary goals was to showcase the size and scale of the liquor store from the exterior. To achieve this, UG Group removed the existing front facade and replaced it with stone veneer, corrugated metal panels, and expansive glass. These upgrades gave the store a modern look and allowed more natural light inside. The updated design also increased brand visibility, attracting more foot traffic from passing customers.
New automatic sliding doors and an entry vestibule were also installed. This upgrade improved energy efficiency and customer flow, making entry and exit more convenient. These changes not only enhanced the shopping experience but also contributed to lower energy costs over time. Additionally, the improved entryway created a more comfortable environment for customers, shielding them from extreme weather.
A Successful Renovation with Lasting Impact
Since the renovation, Cheers Liquor Mart has experienced higher sales and increased customer satisfaction. The redesigned liquor store is now more welcoming, efficient, and visually appealing. Customers enjoy a brighter, more open shopping environment, while the Owner benefits from a more streamlined, cost-effective operation. The improved layout also allows for better product organization and easier navigation, making shopping more enjoyable.
By integrating modern materials, strategic design, and operational improvements, UG Group revitalized a longstanding retail staple. The result is a store that meets both customer expectations and business needs, ensuring long-term success in a competitive market.
