Design of a LEED Silver-certified fire station expansion. The station has a solar water heating system, LED lighting, and a whole-house generator.
UG Architecture was retained to assess the overall damage and develop cost opinions for repairs. The scope was expanded to include modernization of systems.
This new 65,000 sf facility was conceived to host major regional swimming events while providing a home for Henry County middle and high school swim teams
The design thus succeeds in expressing the future, motion and energy contained within the YMCA’s walls while at the same time, respecting the local context
