UG Group (formerly Dawson Van Orden) provided engineering services for Gyrodata’s new 224,425-square-foot corporate office in Houston, Texas. The project required a high level of coordination between multiple teams. From the start, we worked closely with our design and engineering partners to support a flexible, efficient, and modern office environment.
Our Role
UG Group provided MEP/FP engineering services for the Gyrodata office project, working in coordination with Bihner Chen Engineering, who served as the structural engineer. Our team collaborated closely with Method Architecture to ensure that all building systems aligned seamlessly with the design intent and overall project goals.
Throughout the project, we focused on delivering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems that were reliable, efficient, and adaptable to future needs. We emphasized clear documentation, code compliance, and maintainable solutions. As project requirements shifted, we remained flexible and responsive—ensuring our work continued to support the schedule, budget, and performance expectations.

Clear communication played a key role in the project’s success. We held regular meetings with EE Reed Construction, Method Architecture, Bury + Partners, Bihner Chen Engineering, and Apollo BBC. These check-ins helped align disciplines, identify issues early, and avoid delays.
